Congratulations to Anh Nguyen and Xiawa Wang for their excellent VI-A work respectively at Microsoft Research Asia and at Bosch for which they have received the J. Francis Reintjes Excellence in VI-A Industrial Practice Award. Prof. Reintjes was the VI-A Director when I was in the VI-A program from 1965-68. We became close friends when I began as Director of the VI-A Internship Program in 1994 and I greatly valued his advice and suggestions in directing VI-A. Through Prof. Reintjes’ generosity before he died and the generosity of his family the Reintjes Award honors those VI-A students who have excelled in their industrial practice assignments and M.Eng. thesis research.

Congratulations again to Xiawa and Anh,

    Markus Zahn
    VI-A Director
